On February 27, 2024, the Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) provided a virtual seminar “Strengthening Competence of Accreditation Bodies and Quality Assurance for International Recognition” to relevant stakeholders, with a use of Zoom Application.

On February 19, 2024, Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation said that it is astonishing that Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) has been recognized as an accreditation body of the country according to International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA). In this regard, BLA ranked 5^th in the world for Competence of Proficiency Testing Providers according to ISO/IEC 17043 (as of 2024).

On February 6, 2024, the Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS) provided seminar “Preparedness of Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for Competence of Calibration Laboratory According to ISO/IEC 17011”. The seminar was held on-site at Room 519, Floor 5, Analytic Chemistry Building, DSS and simultaneously, the seminar was broadcasted using Zoom Application to relevant stakeholders.

On January 30, 2024, Dr. Rungrueng Kitphati, General Director, Department of Science Service (DSS), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation opened the Accreditation Certificate Ceremony, with a attendance of a total of 15 accredited laboratories including testing laboratories and proficiency testing providers. The event was held in Floor 6, Analytic Chemistry Building, DSS.

On December 18, 2023, Ms. Pattariya Chaimanee, Deputy Director General, invited all guests the seminar course “Assessor Training Course for Laboratories, which was cohosted by Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation and Division of Laboratory Personnel Development, Department of Science Service. The seminar was made for those of more than 20 external and internal stakeholders and experts related to accreditation

Dr. Pochaman Tagheen, the Deputy Director-General, Department of Science Service (DSS), and Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit, an Acting Director, Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation (BLA-DSS), jointed “the International Accreditation Forum - International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (IAF-ILAC) Annual Meeting 2023” held at Montreal, Canada between 12^th and 15^th November 2023.
