On 25 July 2024, Miss Pattariya Chaimanee, Deputy Director – General, Department of Science Service (DSS), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHSEI) opened and welcomed esteemed guests to the seminar titled “ISO 17034: 2016 for Reference Material Producers”. On this occupation, Miss Pattariya Chaimanee emphasized that reference materials contribute to establishing the reliable quality assurance, strengthening confidence test results gained by laboratories, namely calibration and testing laboratories, tractability and quality control and others.
          Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit furthermore added that the BLA-DSS has committed to operational practices in competence in reference materials and accreditation according to ISO 17034. With this objective in mind, BLA-DSS and PT-RM WG pursued this valuable collective work and made this seminar possible. During 25-26 July 2024, this 2-day seminar was conducted by our esteemed expert: Dr. Charan Yafa, Assistant Director, National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT and Mrs. Kittiya Shearman, Acting Head of Chemical Metrology and Biometry Department. Over 500 attendees, including affiliated assessors, LACs and TSCs attended this seminar.
