Dr. Pochaman Tagheen, Deputy Director General of Department of Science Service (DSS), together with Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit Diretor of Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation (BLA-DSS) and Miss Pornpan Pantipamporn jointed “APAC Annual Meetings 2024” at Dubai, United Arab Emirates between 15 and 17 July 2024. The meeting aimed to enable all signatories to exchange experiences and made each member to be aware of direction of accreditation in a near future. BLA-DSS have signed APAC Mutual Recognition Agreement (APAC MRA) for laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025, proficiency testing according to ISO/IEC 17043 providers and reference material producers according to ISO 17034.
          APAC MRA Council Meeting facilitated mutual agreements between signatories and if needed, other important decisions on accreditation-related issues were made by the given members. Drawing out the knowledges, experiences and extensive cooperation with other members, BLA-DSS seeks to thrive continuous improvement on accreditation, enabling to support the Thailand’s National Quality Infrastructure.
