On 29 April 2024, Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation (BLA), Department of Science Service (DSS) held the seminar “Uncertainty of Measurement for Testing Laboratory”. Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit, the BLA director, reported the rationale and key objectives of the seminar to Miss Pattariya Chaimanee, the DSS Deputy Director and over 60 attendees, highlighting that this seminar aimed to add body of knowledges in the field of uncertainty of measurement for Testing Laboratory and exchanges in experiences on this topic. An expected outcome of arranging the seminar is to support accreditation activities and services and harmonization. The seminar was held at Room 320, 3th Floor, Analytical Chemical Building.
On this occasion, Miss Pattariya Chaimanee, the DSS Deputy Director furthermore added that concerning that all measurements are imperfect and have potential sources of variation, each measurement requires calculating measurement uncertainty- an assurance of the acceptable-level quality of a certain measurement , determining if the product s’ quality is met and suitable for further use.
