               On December 18, 2023, Ms. Pattariya Chaimanee, Deputy Director General, invited all guests the seminar course “Assessor Training Course for Laboratories, which was cohosted by Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation and Division of Laboratory Personnel Development, Department of Science Service. The seminar was made for those of more than 20 external and internal stakeholders and experts related to accreditation, aiming to leverage their skills and technical knowledges of accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17011 based on APAC: Guidelines on Trainings Course for Assessors (APAC CBC-002), with a request of a demonstration of an acceptable cut-off score of testing. The 6-day seminar was arranged between 18 and 23 December 2023 at Kantary Bay Hotel, Rayong, Thailand.
              Ms. Pattariya Chaimanee said that Department of Science Service (DSS) have committed to prepare potential sources of support and make sure that an effectiveness of operation of accreditation of testing laboratories. She added that Bureau of Laboratory  Accreditation,  one of four accreditation bodies in Thailand, have undertaken a single platform for testing laboratories accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025, testing provider accreditation service according to ISO/IEC 17043 and Reference materials producer accreditation service according to ISO 17034. To dated, over 280 laboratories have been successfully accredited.
              In fact, this seminar has highlighted an effectiveness of cooperation between Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation and Division of Laboratory Personnel Development, Department of Science Service.
