Dr. Pochaman Tagheen, the Deputy Director-General, Department of Science Service (DSS), and Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit, an Acting Director, Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation (BLA-DSS), jointed “the International Accreditation Forum - International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (IAF-ILAC) Annual Meeting 2023” held at Montreal, Canada between 12^th and 15^th November 2023. On behalf of the DSS Both designated officers jointed the General Assembly meeting as one of ILAC members with ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC MRA) according to testing laboratories using ISO/IEC 17025, proficiency testing providers using ISO/IEC 17043 and reference material procedure using ISO 17034. In fact, these bodies required international cooperation relating ILAC MRA’ s principles and mutual agreements.

          The IAF-ILAC annual meeting enabled all designated ILAC Members to participate in evaluation and decision-making process in an improvement on the policies and operation of the accreditation bodies. In addition to these objectives, the members made an agreement to notify applicants to be an ILAC member in compliance with rules and procedure of the bodies. Each member was encouraged to exchange the body of knowledge regarding the accreditation body’s operations. The surveillances and evaluations of the committee performance were shared to the members, perspectives and feedback on any significant changes shared by the members were taken into consideration for further improvement on accreditation body.
