With a collective engagement made four Thailand accreditation bodies, “World Accreditation Day 2025” seminar, themed “Accreditation: Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises 

(SMEs)” was made possible on 9 June 2025. In addition to being simultaneously carried on through the Zoom Application, the seminar was held at Grand Richmond Convention Hotel, Nonthaburi, Thailand. The seminar was arranged in a way to set out firm grounds that enable relevant stakeholders to better acknowledge the importance of laboratory accreditation on empowering SMEs. It was also aimed to highlight an accreditation as a step stone for making SME’s significant changes according to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

On this occupation, Dr Pochaman Tagheen – Deputy Director –General and Acting General Director of Department of Science Service (DSS) emphasized the contribution of accreditation on strengthening Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This was followed by a insightful presentation of Mrs. Chantarat Vorasapavit - Director of Bureau of Laboratory Accreditation, Department of Science Service (BLA-DSS), illuminating BLA-DSS accreditation for empowering accredited SMEs’ laboratories. The given theme had brought into the discussion by attendants throughout the seminar.
